What It Is

Decorative Color That Lasts

Concrete staining transforms plain gray concrete into a rich, decorative surface. Acid stains chemically react with the slab to create permanent, marbled, variegated tones that no two floors share alike, while water-based stains offer a broader, more uniform palette of colors. Alliance Epoxy Flooring prepares, stains and seals your existing concrete to deliver a durable, low-maintenance floor with a high-end custom look — for both commercial and residential spaces throughout NY, NJ & PA.

FAQ

Concrete Staining Questions

Everything you need to know about our acid and water-based concrete staining.

What's the difference between acid stain and water-based stain?+

Acid stains chemically react with the minerals in the slab to create permanent, marbled, variegated tones in a limited range of earth-toned colors. Water-based stains sit in the pores of the concrete and offer a much wider, more uniform palette of colors. We'll recommend the right one for your look and space.

How long does stained concrete last?+

Because the color penetrates the slab and we seal it, stained concrete can last for decades indoors. A protective sealer (and occasional re-sealing in high-traffic areas) keeps it looking great and prolongs its life.

Can you stain old or existing concrete?+

Yes. We clean, prep and, if needed, repair existing concrete before staining. Older slabs often take stain beautifully and the result enhances the natural character of the surface.

Will the stain fade or peel?+

No. Because the stain penetrates the concrete rather than sitting on top like paint, it won't peel or flake. For outdoor or sun-exposed areas we use UV-stable products and sealers to resist fading.

How much does concrete staining cost?+

Pricing depends on square footage, the condition of the concrete and the finish you choose. Request a free estimate and we'll reply within 24 hours with transparent pricing.
